Location: Norwich, Connecticut area
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay: $22.43-$30.23 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-2:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide direct behavioral and educational support to a high school student in a special education program near Norwich, Connecticut.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized 1:1 behavioral and educational support to a high school student.
  • Implement behavior intervention plans and skill-acquisition programs under the direction of a qualified supervisor.
  • Support students in developing communication, social, adaptive, academic, and independent-living skills.
  • Provide behavioral support within a special education classroom and during group activities.
  • Collect and accurately document behavioral and skill-acquisition data.
  • Follow established classroom, behavioral, and safety procedures.
  • Assist with transitions, classroom routines, and participation in school activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), or ability to obtain/maintain RBT certification as required for the position.
  • Completion of the applicable RBT training and competency requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to successfully complete required background checks and any school-required clearances.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults with special education needs.
  • Experience in special education is required or strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), behavior intervention strategies, and data collection.
