Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Complex Behavior Program

💰 $24 – $26/hr + $2 Complex Behavior Premium
📍 Fayette County / Newnan, GA Area
🕒 Full-Time | High-Intensity Clinical Cases

Myers Assessment and Therapeutic Services (MATS) is hiring experienced Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join our Complex Behavior Program working with adolescents and young adults (ages 12–28) with severe challenging behaviors.

This role is ideal for experienced RBTs who want to grow clinically, gain experience with complex behavior cases, and work closely with BCBAs in a highly supportive environment.

We are looking for confident, compassionate, and skilled technicians who can remain calm during high-intensity situations and are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with behavioral challenges.


Pay & Benefits

💰 $24 – $26 per hour (based on experience)
💰 Additional $2/hour Complex Behavior Premium

What You’ll Do

As an RBT in our Complex Behavior Program, you will provide 1:1 ABA therapy to adolescents and young adults with severe behavioral needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) designed by a BCBA
• Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy sessions
• Teach communication, social, and adaptive living skills
• Use evidence-based ABA strategies such as

  • Functional Communication Training (FCT)

  • Differential Reinforcement

  • Antecedent interventions
    • Safely manage behaviors including

  • Aggression

  • Self-injurious behavior (SIB)

  • Elopement

  • Property destruction
    • Collect behavioral data during sessions using CentralReach or similar systems
    • Communicate client progress with BCBAs and the clinical team


Ideal Candidate

We are looking for RBTs who:

✔ Want to grow clinically and work with advanced ABA cases


Required Qualifications

Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
At least 1–2 years of ABA or behavior therapy experience
• Experience working with autism or developmental disabilities
• Ability to manage challenging behaviors safely
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background check
• Willingness to obtain SafetyCare training (provided)


Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in
Psychology, ABA, Special Education, or related field
• Experience with CentralReach
• Experience working with adolescents or young adults
• Experience with severe behavior programs


Work Schedule

Monday – Friday
Availability between 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• Minimum 25 billable hours weekly
• Evening availability may be needed for after-school clients
• Occasional weekend sessions may occur


Physical Requirements

This role involves working with individuals who may display severe behaviors. Candidates must be able to:

• Stand, kneel, and move actively throughout sessions
• Lift up to 50 lbs if necessary
• Safely implement approved crisis intervention procedures
• Work in clinic, home, and community environments
