NY616 – Adult Psychiatrist

Facility minutes from Buffalo New York is seeking a part time adult psychiatrist for outpatient work. This facility is an outpatient community mental health center. This position offers great pay and full benefits. This position is minutes from great restaurants and the heart of the city of Buffalo. Duties include: Supervises and provides clinical direction to the clinical staff including Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, Case Managers, RNs, LPNs and Medical Assistants. Assess psycho-social health status through medical history and physical and psychiatric examinations. Orders and interprets laboratory tests. Triage, diagnose and treat illness and behavioral health conditions within the specialty area of practice. Functions and contributes as part of a multidisciplinary team which includes Primary Care Providers, Dental Providers. Collaborates, educates and consults with other team members to develop and implement optimal care plans. Perform therapeutic and corrective measures including prescribing medication and provides preventive health maintenance and education. Teach and counsel patients, families and groups.
