Adp Testing information

What is ADP testing?

ADP testing refers to the process of evaluating payroll, human resources, and workforce management software provided by ADP (Automatic Data Processing, Inc.). This testing ensures that all system features, such as payroll calculations, tax deductions, and compliance requirements, function as intended. Testers may use real-world scenarios to validate data accuracy and integration with other business systems. Proper ADP testing helps organizations avoid costly payroll errors and ensures smooth HR operations.

What types of projects or systems are typically tested by professionals in ADP testing roles?

ADP Testing professionals are commonly responsible for evaluating payroll, HR, and workforce management systems developed or maintained by ADP. Their daily tasks often include designing and executing test cases to ensure software reliability, regulatory compliance, and integration with other HR solutions. Collaboration with software developers, business analysts, and end users is frequent, as testers help identify issues, verify bug fixes, and ensure smooth deployment. This role provides exposure to both technical testing methodologies and the operational needs of large organizations, offering a pathway to senior QA or business analyst positions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an ADP testing specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as an ADP Testing Specialist, you need a strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance regulations, and experience with ADP payroll systems, often supported by a degree in accounting or a related field. Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now, testing automation tools, and data validation systems is typically required. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and effective communication are crucial soft skills in this role. These skills ensure accurate payroll processing, minimize compliance risks, and support smooth implementation of payroll solutions.

    Job description

    Location: Remote (U.S.)

    Contract Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

    Project Duration: Approximately 8–12 weeks

Estimated Commitment: 15–25 hours per week (flexible)

    About Tellworks Logistics

Tellworks Logistics is a rapidly growing third-party logistics (3PL) company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, with distribution centers across the United States. As our organization continues to grow, we're investing in scalable HR technology that supports employee development, leadership growth, and long-term organizational success.

We have recently purchased several ADP Workforce Now Talent Management modules and have already completed much of the strategic planning internally. Our performance management philosophy, competency models, development plans, and succession planning framework have been designed—we're now looking for an experienced ADP Workforce Now consultant to configure and implement these solutions within the system.

This is a project-based consulting engagement and is not intended to become a permanent employment opportunity.

    Project Overview

We're seeking an experienced ADP Workforce Now Implementation Consultant to lead the configuration, implementation, testing, and launch of multiple Talent Management modules, including:

    • Performance Management
    • Learning Management System (LMS)
    • Succession Planning
    • Career Development
    • Additional Talent Management modules, as applicable

The successful consultant will translate our existing HR strategies into fully configured, scalable ADP Workforce Now solutions while providing recommendations based on ADP best practices and implementation experience.

    Project Deliverables

The selected consultant will be responsible for delivering:

    • Discovery sessions to review our existing documentation, workflows, and business requirements.
    • Configuration of ADP Workforce Now Performance Management.
    • Configuration of Learning Management System (LMS), including learning paths and development plans.
    • Configuration of Succession Planning and Career Development modules.
    • Development of performance review templates, competencies, goal-setting processes, and approval workflows.
    • Recommendations for system optimization and ADP best practices.
    • Testing and validation of all module configurations prior to launch.
    • Administrator training and knowledge transfer sessions.
    • Final production deployment.
    • Optional post-launch support for agreed-upon period.

    Qualifications

We're looking for a consultant who has successfully implemented these solutions—not someone whose experience is limited to day-to-day system administration.

    Qualified candidates should have:

    • Extensive hands-on experience implementing and configuring ADP Workforce Now.
    • Demonstrated expertise with Performance Management, Learning Management, Succession Planning, and Career Development modules.
    • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employee development, talent management, and organizational design.
    • Experience translating business requirements into ADP Workforce Now configurations.
    • Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder facilitation skills.
    • Ability to independently manage project deliverables while collaborating with designated Tellworks stakeholders throughout the engagement.

    Ideal Consultant

The ideal consultant has led multiple ADP Workforce Now Talent Management implementations and understands both the technical capabilities of ADP and the strategic HR processes behind them.

We're looking for someone who can confidently recommend best practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and build a scalable solution that aligns with our business objectives.

Experience working with growing, multi-site organizations is highly preferred.

    Engagement Details

This is an independent contractor (1099) consulting engagement.

    The selected consultant will:

    • Operate as an independent contractor.
    • Determine the methods and approach used to complete the project while meeting agreed-upon milestones.
    • Provide their own equipment, software, and workspace.
    • Be responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and business expenses.
    • Work remotely with scheduled project meetings as needed.

This engagement is focused solely on the successful implementation of ADP Workforce Now Talent Management modules and is not intended to transition into regular employment.

    To Apply

    Please include:

    • Resume or consulting profile.
    • Summary of your ADP Workforce Now implementation experience.
    • Which Talent Management modules you have personally configured.
    • Examples of similar implementation projects.
    • Estimated project approach and timeline.
    • Preferred pricing structure (fixed-fee, milestone-based, or hourly).
    • Two or more professional references from similar ADP Workforce Now implementation projects.

We look forward to partnering with an experienced ADP Workforce Now consultant who can help us successfully bring our Talent Management strategy to life.
