Responsibilities

The Senior Director, AI Implementation and Adoption, will report directly to the Chief AI Implementation Officer and be the administrative head of the AIA department. This leader translates top-level vision and strategic direction from the CAIO into concrete organizational goals, structures, and processes. In that capacity, the Senior Director will oversee and coordinate the activities of three AIA Directors leading teams in Governance Operations, AI Validation and Monitoring, and Governance Technologies. The leader's primary responsibilities will be managing highly-matrixed cross-functional activities and personnel to deliver on AIA strategic and operational goals and executive accountability for departmental organization management and operational functions such as budgeting, personnel management, and operational delivery. 

The leader's primary responsibility will be managing highly matrixed cross-functional activities and personnel, with oversite for departmental AI governance, technology, and operations. The leader will also work alongside Chairs representing the department across Mayo Clinic, partnering closely with Shield leaders, and coordinating with other enterprise and Site leaders and governance bodies. 
This is a hybrid position and incumbent must live within 100 miles of a Mayo Clinic campus.  Fulltime remote may be considered.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Computer Science, AI/ML Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Design, or Health Informatics plus 10 years of related experience, including executive-level management of digital, technology, security, or product teams in complex organizations. 

Master's degree in Business, Law, Computer Science, Engineering, Design, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred. Experience in integrated healthcare, academic medical centers, or regulated industries preferred.
