Daniels & Tredennick PLLC is a dynamic, civil litigation law firm, located in the Memorial area of Houston, TX. We come from a variety of backgrounds who have been involved in public service, education, large law firms, and boutique firms.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Legal Assistant to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong organizational and communication skills, and is committed to providing exceptional administrative and client support. In this role, you will assist attorneys and legal staff with day-to-day case management, document preparation, scheduling, client communication, file organization, and general administrative support. Successful candidates must be highly organized, able to multitask effectively, and capable of maintaining professionalism and accuracy under pressure. This position plays an essential role in supporting the efficiency of our legal team and ensuring excellent service for our clients throughout the legal process.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in preparation for court appearances
• Provide legal support to paralegals and multiple attorneys as needed
• Manage calendar entries regarding key deadlines and events for active cases
• Prepare and revise legal documents such as affidavits, demands, discovery, etc.
• Communicate with various parts of the court system and outside legal personnel regarding case details, deadlines, and procedures
• Docket and eFile in bankruptcy, state, and federal courts
• Bates number legal documents using Adobe Pro
• Order reports, medical bills and records, etc.. Monitor status of orders
• Schedule hearings and depositions
• Secure court reporters for depositions
• Provide back-up for front desk as needed
• Manage user settings for office accounts such as Westlaw, NetDocuments, eFile, PACER, etc.
• Process Attorney Vacation Letters with the court
• Maintain Frequent Visitor courthouse badges for attorneys
• Manage and file email correspondence
• Secure travel arrangements for out-of-town appearances
• Handle confidential and time-sensitive material
• Notarize documents
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• High level of efficiency and accuracy
• Collaborative, self-motivated, punctual, dependable and professional

• Has technical skills where new programs can be quickly learned and implemented
• Understands technical legal terminology
