Job description

Job Title: Adobe I/O & AEM Developer
Location: Bethesda, MD (Hybrid)

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Adobe I/O & AEM Developer with strong experience in Adobe Experience Cloud technologies, enterprise integrations, and modern AEM development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Adobe I/O Runtime, Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), Adobe Campaign, and AEM development using modern Adobe frameworks and integration patterns.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Adobe AEM components, templates, dialogs, and workflows.
Build reusable AEM components using HTL (Sightly), Sling Models, and OSGi services.
Develop and customize AEM Sites, Assets, and Forms based on business requirements.
Implement integrations between AEM and external enterprise systems such as CRM, MDM, Analytics, Adobe Target, and other third-party platforms.
Design and develop scalable API integrations using RESTful services.
Work extensively with Adobe I/O Runtime and Adobe Developer Console for serverless integrations and Adobe ecosystem connectivity.
Integrate Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Campaign, and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) solutions.
Develop and support event-driven architectures using Kafka and related messaging technologies.
Configure and manage AEM Dispatcher and caching strategies.
Support CI/CD pipelines for both AEM and Adobe I/O deployments using modern DevOps practices.
Manage environment setup and support across Dev, QA, Stage, and Production environments.
Handle AEM package management, deployments, release cycles, and production support activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, business analysts, QA teams, and DevOps engineers.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with Adobe AEM 6.x and/or AEM as a Cloud Service.
Solid experience with Adobe I/O Runtime and Adobe Experience Cloud integrations.
Experience working with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Campaign, and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO).
Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, OSGi, Sling, and HTL (Sightly).
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React (preferred).
Experience building REST APIs and working with JSON/XML integrations.
Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture patterns.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven, Jenkins, and deployment automation.
Experience with AEM Dispatcher configuration and caching strategies.
Knowledge of Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, and Adobe App Builder.
Familiarity with cloud-native architecture and serverless application development.
Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
