Job description

Position Summary:
As an Admission Representative, you will effectively maintain admission guidelines and best practices in support of the Director of Business Development and Admission Manager. Successful candidates will act as first contact with referral sources, assist with referral management, and effectively communicate leads to business development team members, under the direction of the Admission Manager.
Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.
Essential Duties:
  • Coordinates management of referrals and effectively communicates to team members
  • Completes billing and insurance verification
  • Obtains admission compliance paperwork efficiently and timely
  • Obtains and maintains relevant records and documentation for pre-admission
  • Ensures completion of pre-admission requirements for business development team members
  • Works closely with the Admission Manager and Director of Business Development for any and all daily operational duties, which may include, but not limited to, areas of admissions and census
  • Completes other duties as assigned by leadership, Director of Business Development, and Admission Manager.

Required Qualifications:
  • Valid driverโ€™s license
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in similar or related role
  • Clinical experience in an acute care setting, preferred
  • Familiarity with insurance products and payors, preferred
  • Knowledge of Healthcare Compliance Requirements:
  • Exceptional customer service with ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Professional demeanor with excellent communications skills
  • Ability to be flexible and function under high volume conditions
