Administrative Services Assistant - Onsite
Client: Tennessee TennCare
Location: 310 Great Circle Rd., Nashville, TN 37243
Duration: April 6, 2026 - June 30, 2026
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST
Hours: 8 hours per day
Work Type: 100% Onsite (Local candidates only)
Bill Rate: $20/hr (1099) | $18/hr (W2)
Position Overview
The Administration & Talent Management division at Tennessee TennCare is seeking an Administrative Services Assistant (ASA) to support the Director of Facilities and the Facilities team. This role primarily focuses on mailroom operations, administrative coordination, and facilities-related support. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Maintain detailed records of mail transactions, including tracking numbers, sender and recipient details, and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate with courier and postal services such as FedEx and United States Postal Service for mail delivery and pickups.
  • Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word for administrative tasks, documentation, and record management.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or Microsoft Teams.
  • Perform data entry and manage documents including scanning, verification, and filing.
  • Participate in team meetings and support team collaboration activities.
  • Assist with the distribution of temporary badges for employees and contractors.
  • Travel to nearby post offices and state buildings to pick up or deliver mail and identification badges.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of administrative or customer service experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Valid Tennessee driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
