Job description

Our HVAC client is seeking a Service Manager to join their team in Holland, Michigan. This is a full-time, in-office position that serves as the central hub of service operations. The Service Manager works closely with customers, technicians, and ownership to ensure that service calls are scheduled efficiently, parts are ordered promptly, and jobs are completed accurately and on time.

In this role, you will manage daily customer communications, schedule and dispatch service technicians, order and track parts, prepare and process invoices, and maintain accurate records within our FieldEdge and QuickBooks systems. You will also oversee equipment and inventory coming into and out of the shop while helping keep the service department organized and running smoothly.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities. This position requires someone who can balance customer service, administrative duties, and leadership while working independently and making sound decisions. HVAC experience is helpful but not required for the right candidate who is eager to learn the industry and grow with the company.

The successful candidate will possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Prior experience in HVAC, construction, skilled trades, dispatching, service coordination, or a related industry is preferred, but training will be provided for the right individual. Familiarity with scheduling, customer service, inventory management, invoicing, or office operations is highly desirable.

Candidates should be self-motivated, dependable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians, vendors, and management is essential. Experience with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and business software applications, is required; experience with QuickBooks or FieldEdge is a plus.

This position offers a starting salary of approximately $60,000 per year, along with a benefits package that includes a 401(k) plan and paid vacation. We are looking for a confident professional who is willing to take initiative, speak up when needed, and provide the leadership necessary to keep our service department operating efficiently.
