Job description

Administrative Assistant

Pay: Starting at $15/hour, with the potential for higher pay based on experience and responsibilities

Schedule: Part-time | Approximately 15-30 hours per week

Location: Columbia, Missouri

About the Position

We are looking for a highly organized, proactive Administrative Assistant to support our team and help manage operations across a growing group of Columbia restaurants.

This is not a restaurant management or floor leadership position. Instead, this is a hands-on administrative and project-support role for someone who enjoys bringing organization to a fast-moving environment.

The right person will be able to take ideas, conversations, and rough notes and turn them into organized documents, systems, action plans, and completed projects. No two days will look exactly the same, so we are looking for someone who is adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable taking initiative.

Responsibilities include:
  • Manage schedules, meetings, reminders, deadlines, and follow-ups
  • Take notes during meetings and turn discussions into clear action plans
  • Create and organize checklists, SOPs, trackers, timelines, and training materials
  • Assist with projects for new and existing restaurant concepts
  • Organize job applicants and assist with hiring administration
  • Conduct initial applicant pre-screening interviews after training
  • Communicate and follow up with managers, vendors, applicants, and other contacts
  • Assist with menus, data entry, document organization, and restaurant software
  • Research products, vendors, services, and solutions as needed
  • Track project deadlines and help ensure tasks are completed
  • Maintain organized digital files, records, and administrative systems
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks and occasional errands as needed

Who We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate is:

  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Proactive and comfortable taking ownership of tasks
  • A strong written and verbal communicator
  • Dependable, discreet, and professional
  • Able to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Comfortable solving problems independently
  • Able to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving restaurant and hospitality environment
  • Willing to jump into different projects and get things done
  • Proficient with Google Docs, Google Sheets, email, and basic computer systems

Restaurant or administrative experience is helpful, but not required. We are more interested in finding someone who is sharp, dependable, organized, and eager to learn and grow with our team.

Compensation & Growth

This position starts at $15 per hour, with the potential for higher starting pay depending on experience and the level of responsibility the candidate can take on.

As the role develops, there will also be opportunities for increased hours, compensation, and responsibility based on performance.

If you are someone who enjoys organization, problem-solving, and turning ideas into action, we would love to hear from you!
