JOB SUMMARY:

The Administration Coordinator, Nuclear Development is accountable to deliver high-level administrative and governance support to the Nuclear Development Department. This role ensures the smooth operation of divisional activities by managing sensitive documentation, coordinating and attending meetings, aligning priorities and supporting strategic planning. This position will play a critical role in organizing and maintaining confidential records, preparing and tracking governance submissions and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.ย 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

ย ย  ย Perform clerical and administrative activities including managing and responding to administrative inquiries on behalf of the department
ย ย  ย Establish administrative policies, procedures and work priorities; ensuring procedures are followed and deadlines are met
ย ย  ย Manage incoming and outgoing memoranda, submissions, documents and reports for a department, all levels of management, and/or executive membersย 
ย ย  ย Compile data and prepare, edit, and proofread correspondence, invoices, presentations, reports and related materialsย 
ย ย  ย Organize information and materials for meetings and conferences, including taking meeting minutes
ย ย  ย Recommend, review, evaluate and approve confidential documents, briefs and reports containing sensitive information related to the managerial functions of the department
ย ย  ย Organize management schedules and meetings, while making appropriate reservations and travel arrangements as required
ย ย  ย Set up and maintain files and records which may contain confidential and sensitive information
ย ย  ย Assist in the preparation of departmental operating budgets and maintain inventory and budgetary controls
ย ย  ย Order office supplies and maintain departmental records and inventoryย 
ย ย  ย May supervise office support staff as required
ย ย  ย Other related duties as assigned
ย 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

ย ย  ย Related professional designation(s) and/or certification(s) AND/OR;
ย ย  ย Three (3) years of related administration or clerical experience, or equivalent
ย ย  ย Excellent oral and written communication skills
ย ย  ย Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
ย ย  ย Ability to meet deadlines and deals with quick turnaround.
ย ย  ย Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
ย ย  ย Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
ย ย  ย Ability to foster a culture focused on safety, innovation and teamwork
ย ย  ย Demonstrated skill in SaskPower's competencies
ย ย  ย Must have a continuing record of professional development ย
