Job description

Prism Health is the only nonprofit LGBTQIA+ health center providing comprehensive primary care, behavioral healthcare, and pharmacy services in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon and Washington,). Since opening its doors in 2017, Prism Health has become a model for culturally specific care and now serves over 4,000+ patients with a wide range of services, from day-to-day primary care and pharmacy needs to targeted services like gender-affirming care and specialized population health screenings.
Prism Health a program apart of CAP Northwest is excited to announce that we are hiring skilled and team-oriented Practice Administrator. Under the supervision of the Chief Growth Officer and in collaboration with the Medical Director and the Director of Behavioral Health, the Practice Administrator provides strategic and operational leadership for all clinical operations across Prism Health. This position is responsible for advancing operational excellence, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, provider operations, patient access, workforce development, financial stewardship, and organizational initiatives.
The Practice Administrator directly supervises the Front Office Supervisor, Back Office Supervisor, and Billing and Coding Specialist.
This is a Full-Time role working at our Prism locations in SE and N Portland. The schedule for this role is a Hybrid Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, 3 days in office and two days work from home.
Starting pay is $120,000
Who You Are
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Current clinical credentials or licensure (CMA, RN, LPN, etc.)
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in primary care operations management.
  • Prior experience in budgeting, purchasing, and payroll.
  • Experience with revenue cycle management, payor contracts, and diverse payment models.
  • Experience with high-volume ambulatory care patient flow.

What You'll Do
  • Develops, implements, and continuously evaluates clinical and operational policies, procedures, and workflows that support high-quality, patient-centered care, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. Provides strategic leadership in transforming care delivery models to meet the evolving healthcare environment.
  • Serves as a key member of Prism Health and CAP leadership teams, providing operational leadership, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve organizational goals and improve clinical performance.
  • Provides direct supervision of two (2) Front Office Supervisors, two (2) Back Office Supervisors, the EHR Support Analysts (ESA), the Clinical Quality Specialist, and the Billing & Coding Specialist, and assumes responsibility for all functions under the purview of those positions.
  • Assumes responsibility for coordinating all clinical activities for clinical students, interns, and residents with the Medical Director. Works with Medical Director regarding student and resident issues.
  • Serves as a key member of the Prism Health Leadership Team and CAP Management Team, contributing to organizational strategy, operational planning, financial stewardship, and achievement of organizational goals.
  • Leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategic operational goals and performance metrics for clinical operations. Provides leadership, direction, and support to clinic managers, supervisors, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve organizational priorities.
