Part-Time | 25 Hours per Week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–5:00 PM


Surgery Center at Westpark is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Surgical Center Receptionist to join our team. This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming experience for our patients and their families while helping keep the daily operations of our surgical center running smoothly.


The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys helping others, communicates professionally, and can remain calm and organized in a fast-paced healthcare environment.


What You’ll Do

  • Welcome patients, families, and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor
  • Answer and triage incoming phone calls using a multi-line phone system
  • Take messages and ensure they are directed to the appropriate staff members
  • Prepare surgical charts and necessary documentation for nursing staff
  • Obtain required patient signatures during admission
  • Enter and update patient demographic and insurance information
  • Assist family members of surgical patients as needed
  • Provide general administrative support to the ASC Administrator
  • Assist with filing, mail, facility correspondence, and other administrative duties
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff, and other team members to provide an excellent patient experience
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience using a multi-line phone system
  • Strong computer skills; experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • A warm, friendly, and caring approach when working with patients and families
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and take initiative
  • Flexibility and the ability to remain professional and effective in stressful or changing situations

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend throughout an five-hour shift. The position may also require lifting supplies up to 30 pounds and pushing or pulling equipment or supplies weighing more than 30 pounds.
