Night Building Supervisor
Wage $18.00

  1. Secure the building- open and close external doors, provide appropriate access to rooms, manage key inventory.
  2. Provide excellent customer service with the help of front desk staff and other night employees
  3. Greet each event coordinator prior to the event starting time. Explain how to contact for assistance and check in with the customer to ensure all arrangement are set correctly.
  4. Help to deescalate unruly guests during events, sporting events, or during high occupancy nights.
  5. Make regular rounds throughout the building to ensure guest and employees are safe and secure
  6. Record building traffic, head counts, and file hourly reports that occur within the building.
  7. Provide leadership and direction in emergencies and assist as needed
  8. Enforce University and MSU Policies and Standards.
  9. Recognize and report safety and security problems to MSUPD.
  10. Provide support to Front desk, Housekeeping and Engineering department on an as needed basis during the overnight shift
  11. Document night shift for management review

This position is NOT for MSU degree granting student.
Required Qualifications
  • Available for night shift on Thursday, Friday and Saturday during home football games
  • Available 2 shifts home game weeks
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Display a high standard of ethical conduct
  • Ability to stand and or walk for an entire shift
  • Pass an employment Criminal Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of building operations and hospitality business procedures.
