Summary:
Our Relationship Advisors demonstrate an understanding of, and belief in, Addition Financials' mission and Core Values. They are committed to creating unparalleled experiences for our current and potential members by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in person, over the phone, or through electronic communication channels. These team members will engage directly in promoting financial education and success by identifying and learning about our members' needs, teaching them about emerging digital and financial solutions offered by the credit union, and continuously working to improve the lives of our members through exceptional service delivery - all while demonstrating absolute integrity in everything they do.
MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL BETWEEN BRANCHES
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Process a wide range of financial transactions for credit union members, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and check cashing.
• Establish and maintain a positive advisory relationship by making members feel valued and demonstrating genuine care and compassion.
• Proactively identify changes in the member's life events and banking needs to recommend relevant services and financial solutions to help members achieve financial success.
• Recognize referral opportunities and refers members for specialized services, including investments, real estate, commercial, and other financial needs.
• Own member issues and take full responsibility to effectively resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts and loans.
• Perform outbound calls to generate new business and deepen member relationships.
• Open new accounts, sub-shares, certificates, and other general accounts.
• Provide professional, prompt, courteous, and accurate service while respecting member confidentiality.
• Build and maintain knowledge of Addition Financial products and services and stays informed of changes within the credit union relating to policies and procedures.
• Educate members on emerging and existing credit union technology and digital solutions such as mobile, online, and card services for their convenience.
• Understand and comply with federal and other regulations related to financial products and services.
• Adherence to balancing standards and cash outages procedures.
• Demonstrate understanding of all AFCU products to make 15 qualified referrals monthly and cross-sell opportunities with a 5% win-rate of total monthly calls with additional products added.
• And other department wide projects and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient in credit union systems including Windows and Microsoft Office software
  • Experience with core banking applications (Symitar/Episys, Synapsys, MeridianLink, MortgageBot, OpenClose, etc.) highly desired
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service, cash handling experience

  • The ability to positively engage quickly and maintain that engagement throughout the entire transaction process is critical.
  • A service-oriented, people-first mindset and commitment to exceeding expectations.
  • Strong attention to detail when working with numbers and names in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work and travel between branches as needed

• Must adhere to a provided work schedule to meet a set of qualitative production standards.

• Ability to speak and write clearly and effectively; must be able to communicate with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy, especially with those who have different perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds.
Physical/Environmental Demands
• Sitting for long periods at a time.
• Regularly required to talk or listen.
• Occasional lifting of office supplies up to 20 lbs.
• Vision abilities including close vision and ability to adjust focus.
