Job description

Role Details: We are looking for a Video Solutions Engineer who is passionate about enabling modern, high-quality media delivery using a combination of in-house and off-the-shelf technologies. You'll work closely with our core engineering team supporting our set of shared media services. You'll be crucial in the team's process being an interface between the engineering team and internal customers in our day to day operations Your Day-to-Day: • Support exiting video processing customers in their day-to day operations; • Onboard new internal customers, help architect the most suitable solutions. • Continuously learn newly available product features, be an advocate of their on the field implementation. • Provide feedback to our engineering team to improve and grow the product. Key Project: • Provide Level 1 support for our live streaming platform for the creation of cloud-based infrastructure for live events; Qualifications: What you bring to the team: You have - • Experience with AWS Media Services (Medialive, MediaConnect, MediaPackage, MediaStore) • Familiarity with video protocols such as RTP, RTMP, HLS, HDS, Smooth Streaming; • Understanding of how CDNs work. AWS CloudFront, Akamai • Familiarity with server side ad insertion: SCTE35 ad markers, Google DAI • Experience working with REST API's and data-interchange formats such as JSON and XML • Ability to read Python or similar high-level programming language • Good listening skills. Desire to continuously learn. You might also have - • Familiarity with modern video codecs like H264, VP8, VP9, AV1; • Previous experience with video processing services such as AWS Elemental MediaConvert/MediaLive, BitMovin, Hybrik, Zencoder, Encoding.com, Unified Streaming • Experience with Digital Rights Management Systems (DRM), including Playready, Widevine & FairPlay
