Job Title: Operations Coordinator (Performance Coach)

Pay Rate: $24- $25/hr.

Shifts available: 2nd (4:30PM) applicants must be available to work 12 hour shifts.

Main Purpose of the Job: The Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in driving productivity, quality, safety, and engagement within a manufacturing environment. This position partners closely with frontline employees, team leads, and supervisors to improve performance, reinforce standard work, and promote a positive, accountable culture on the production floor.

This is a hands-on, floor-based role focused on supervising daily operations, coaching employee performance, and ensuring production goals are achieved while maintaining safety and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

Production & Team Supervision

  • Supervise hourly employees to ensure productivity, quality, safety, attendance, and work habits meet expectations.
  • Monitor daily production activities and ensure adherence to production schedules.
  • Reinforce performance expectations and standard operating procedures.
  • Observe work behaviors and provide real-time coaching and constructive feedback.
  • Address performance concerns and support employees in overcoming performance barriers.


Leadership & Employee Development

  • Partner with team leads and management to drive employee performance and accountability.
  • Model effective leadership and coaching techniques.
  • Support performance improvement plans and follow-up actions.
  • Assist with onboarding and development of new employees.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful work environment.


Safety & Quality

  • Reinforce safe work behaviors and compliance with safety procedures.
  • Promote accountability for quality standards and defect reduction.
  • Encourage reporting of issues, near misses, and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure employees follow GMP, food safety, and sanitation requirements.


Operations Support

  • Monitor production metrics and support efforts to achieve operational goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the production floor to ensure smooth operations and employee engagement.


Qualifications Required

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment.
  • Previous supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on the production floor for extended periods.


Preferred

  • Experience in performance improvement, operations support, workforce coaching, or supervisory roles.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs and production metrics.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Bilingual (based on workforce needs).
