Job description

The Nurse LPN role in our busy clinic is essential for delivering high-quality patient care. This position involves assessing patients' health needs, collaboratively developing and implementing care plans, and administering prescribed treatments and IV therapy. The Nurse LPN will monitor vital signs, communicate effectively with patients and families, and coordinate care with the healthcare team to ensure seamless service delivery. Proficiency with electronic medical records and engagement in ongoing professional development through on-site training and mentorship programs is supported. This role reports directly to the Medical Director and manages a high patient caseload each shift.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' health needs and develop care plans
  • Administer IV therapy and prescribed treatments
  • Monitor vital signs and report changes promptly
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care
  • Document patient progress using electronic medical records, including Dr. Chrono
  • Stay current with nursing research and best practices
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma or equivalent
  • IV Certification (Do not apply for the position if you do not have this certification)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entry-level nursing experience
  • Valid LPN license
  • Patient assessment skills
  • IV therapy proficiency and licensed
  • Experience working with Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine 
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Strong communication and team collaboration abilities
  • Attention to detail and time management skills
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Empathy and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team
