Primary Responsibilities

  • Teach Theology courses, including course preparation, instruction, and assessment.
  • Provide academic advising and support to students.
  • Conduct ongoing research to inform teaching and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Supervise and oversee student research projects.
  • Participate in academic committees and administrative functions.
  • Engage actively in the Saint John Vianney Theological Seminary community and mission.

  • Be a fully initiated Catholic in communion of the Catholic Church and intentionally loving out the five precepts of the Church (CCC 2041-2043).
  • Align with the values and mission of the Catholic Church in an Apostolic Age.
  •  Sacrae Theologiae Doctor (STD) required (from a Pontifical Ecclesiastical Faculty)
  • Collaborative and mission-aligned, consistent with Catholic teachings
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and professional integrity
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Flexible, proactive, and detail-oriented with sound judgment
  • Demonstrates professionalism, teamwork, and a strong work ethic
