Key Responsibilities

As an Acupuncturist at Harmony Healing Acupuncture, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough physical assessments of patients to evaluate their health status and medical history, leading to accurate diagnoses.
• Designing and administering tailored treatment plans that may incorporate various techniques, including acupuncture, cold pressor acupressure, and cold laser therapy.
• Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records, adhering to both state regulations and the stringent standards of HIPAA for confidentiality and privacy.
• Providing expert consultations to patients, addressing their inquiries and concerns, and making necessary referrals to other healthcare professionals when required.
• Attending mandatory clinical meetings and ongoing training sessions to enhance your skills and keep up with advancements in acupuncture practices.
• Collaborating with other team members to optimize patient care by assisting in various roles as needed, such as charting and administering medications.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Bachelor’s degree in acupuncture or a related field, with a preference for candidates holding an advanced degree (Doctorate or Master's).
• A valid and current Acupuncture License for the state of New York.
• At least two years of proven experience working as an Acupuncturist in a clinical or healthcare setting.
• Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and the foundational principles of traditional Chinese medicine.
• Demonstrated proficiency in various acupuncture modalities and complementary therapies.
• Exceptional diagnostic skills for thorough patient assessments and treatment planning.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaborative relationships with colleagues and provide compassionate patient care.

Preferred Experience

Although not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment will have an advantage. Knowledge of additional therapies such as massage or herbal medicine would also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly salary ranging from $30 to $35, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include:
