Job Summary:
Acuity Insurance is seeking a Manager โ€“ Information Security to supervise and direct a team of information security staff. This role involves leading incident response operations, overseeing various security programs, and ensuring enterprise operations and system availability.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Lead incident response operations, overseeing detection, investigation, containment, digital forensics, and postโ€‘incident remediation across security and IT teams.
โ€ข Own the strategy and execution of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) programs to detect insider threats, data misuse, and anomalous activity.
โ€ข Direct forensic investigations, including evidence preservation, rootโ€‘cause analysis, and support for legal, HR, and regulatory requirements.
โ€ข Mature threat intelligence program, integrating into detection and response workflows to improve alert fidelity, anticipate emerging threats, and inform defensive priorities.
โ€ข Mentor and guide security analysts, driving continuous improvement in response readiness, investigative rigor, and overall security maturity.
โ€ข Design, develop and implement information security policies and procedures.
โ€ข Subject to management review and approval, prepares budgets for area of responsibility and reports on expense variances from approved budgets.
โ€ข With respect to employees supervised: assigns and directs work; provides on-the-job training and coaching; monitors volume, quality, and service; evaluates performance; and communicates wage and salary reviews.
โ€ข Works collaboratively with other areas of IT and the company.
โ€ข Research, propose, develop, implement, and maintain architectures, hardware, and software.
โ€ข Prepare and present well researched proposals for proposed projects.
โ€ข Order required equipment (hardware, software, networking equipment, etc.).
โ€ข Ensure that purchased vendor solutions meet current and future project requirements.
โ€ข Ensure that hardware and software meet user requirements and needs.
โ€ข Provide input on administrative policies and procedures.
โ€ข Perform research and provide input relative to administrative policies and procedures.
โ€ข Provide input to upper management with respect to personnel issues and potential ensuing actions.
โ€ข Oversee the documentation of licensed software.
โ€ข Regular and predictable attendance.
โ€ข Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent of education and experience.
โ€ข 8 years progressive experience relative to information security.
โ€ข Strong oral and written communication skills.
โ€ข Knowledge of current and emerging security trends and best practices.
โ€ข Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.
โ€ข Ability to visualize and design best in class security models for any system network or system.
โ€ข Fundamental understanding of software, hardware and network design, development, implementation and administration principles.
