What You'll Do

We’re looking for an Actuary or Financial Director to lead our Enterprise Model team. The Enterprise Model Team Leader is responsible for end-to-end ownership of production processes in ALFA and Integrate. They represent stakeholders of the Enterprise Model and ensure that the team delivers value to the internal customer. Value is delivered through the development and management of efficient and controlled actuarial processes, automation of modeling processes where possible, and high-quality reporting/analytics. The role provides strategic guidance to the Enterprise Model Team by turning objectives into deliverables, prioritizing work aligned with maximum business value, and developing/coaching team members to best meet the current and future needs of the team.

Responsibilities
  •  Develop and deliver a customer-centric vision for ALFA and Integrate
  • Influence across the organization to drive improved actuarial processes
  • Advocate and build support for enhancements to actuarial processes within Integrate to improve efficiency in both time and resources
  • Own prioritization decisions in partnership with technology and business leaders
  • Build productive relationships with internal customers to understand, appreciate, and empathize with their objectives and priorities
  • Effectively work as part of the broader Enterprise Model Team and collaborate with IT to deliver capabilities and the value alignment
  • Partner with actuarial leaders to ensure the modeling processes meet product needs
  • Define acceptance criteria for updates to the production model environment and exercise final authority to make go/no-go decisions
  • Accountable for the execution of model governance requirements for production actuarial models in Integrate
  • Manage and strengthen vendor relationships, including Milliman, to support effective use of ALFA/ Integrate and ensure vendor capabilities align with strategic business priorities.
  • Participate in project planning and creation of project objectives
  • Coach and develop team members, accounting for the specific requirements and responsibilities of individual roles.

Who You Are
Financial Director Requirements :
  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in Actuarial Science or related field, plus 8+ years of actuarial work experience required
  • Strong analytical and effective communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of MG-ALFA/Integrate, including Integrate Data Management and Integrate Financial Projections, or other actuarial modeling platform
  • Knowledge of Individual Life Insurance and/or Annuities
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets, technical skills, or the ability to learn, is preferred
  • Ability to direct the work of others and assist in their education and development
Actuary Requirements (+ those listed above):
  • A Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, or global equivalent, or Enrolled Actuary
  • Knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, the Actuarial Standards of Practice promulgated by the Actuarial Standards Board, and the Code of Professional Conduct of the AAA and the SoA is required

Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

$141000 - $191000 / year
Salary Details

The following salary ranges reflect market-specific compensation for this position across multiple job levels. Candidates will be evaluated to determine the appropriate job level based on their skills and experience. 

  • Actuary/Financial Director: $141,000 - $191,000 / year
  • Sr Actuary I: $157,000 - $213,000 / year

Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
