We’re looking for an Activities Director to join our team!

This position establishes a program of activities that is stimulating and that fosters a positive atmosphere through leisure activities that meet the spiritual, cultural, physical, intellectual, and social needs of residents both inside and outside the Community.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, organize, plan, implement and evaluate a well-rounded and stimulating holistic activity program; which addresses the needs and limitations of residents.
  • Assess the needs of the residents. Observes when a resident's needs have changed and create an activity plan to encompass the changes.
  • Design and post creative monthly bulletin boards and activities calendar.
  • Lead large group activities, e.g. discussion groups, sing-a-longs, and exercise classes.
  • Help manage the facilities volunteer program.
  • Manage staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
  • Adhering to the approved budgets.
  • Ability to create meaningful and engaging activities tailored to varying cognitive levels
  • Creative and innovative approach to developing fresh, purposeful, and resident-centered programming
  • Experience planning and coordinating holiday celebrations, family events, community outings, and special programs
  • Strong understanding of activities that promote social engagement, cognitive stimulation, and overall well-being
  • Excellent organizational and event-planning skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and enriching environment for residents and their families
