The IT M&A Project Manager will oversee the delivery lead program management efforts for all IT activities related to company acquisitions, divestitures, and other similar strategic initiatives in partnership with rest of IT, corporate development, marketing, sales, order fulfillment, and the acquiring business group/division.
Geographic location: Europe - Barcelona, Harwell, Waldbronn.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead a team of project managers, engineers and other team members in the delivery of all phases of the IT engagement for mergers, acquisitions and divestitures from day-one through post-close integration. Ensure consistency and best practices are applied to each integration.
  • Leads IT project teams in providing IT solutions to complex, high-impact business problems from project request through implementation of integrated solutions and/or infrastructure services. Has ongoing accountability for all processes, resources, budgets and deliverables related to IT projects. Oversees the team of internal and external IT resources as they plan, track and execute the project from start to completion.
  • Define key success criteria and achieve breakthrough results; demonstrated ability to drive a strategy and making the necessary course corrections if necessary. - Resolve complex scope, budget and timeline conflicts, influencing executive-level sponsors as appropriate.
  • Manage consulting partners in planning and delivery of IT projects.
  • Follows the IT M&A Playbook for planning, execution and post integration support of the all the acquisition integrations and divestitures. Also helps with constant revision of the playbook based on lessons learned through various integration projects.
  • Helps to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, contributing to the development of others.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years project management experience in leading technical teams and busines partners in the delivery of IT projects.
  • Strong foundation in the delivery of IT solutions/capabilities to solve large, complex business problems.
  • Demonstrated ability in the areas of technical planning, design, delivery of application solutions.
  • Past M&A experience desirable but not mandatory
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft tools including SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
  • PMP certification highly desired
  • A key differentiator will be candidates with experience leading people in complex, outsourced, global environments
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required.
