Location: McAllen, TX
ACLS would be held on Wednesdays; PALS would be held on Thursdays. BLS would be PRN.Position Summary
Join our Health Street team as a BLS/ACLS/PALS Instructor and help make a difference by training healthcare professionals and community members in lifesaving skills. We are seeking an engaging, clinically experienced instructor who is passionate about healthcare education and committed to delivering high-quality American Heart Association (AHA) courses.
In this role, you'll provide Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training at healthcare facilities, educational institutions, corporate locations, and other client sites throughout the McAllen area. This position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to grow professionally, including instructor certification support for qualified candidates.What You'll Do
  • Deliver engaging AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS courses while adhering to current AHA guidelines and standards.
  • Facilitate hands-on, scenario-based learning experiences that prepare participants for real-world emergencies.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide coaching to ensure competency.
  • Prepare and maintain training equipment, including manikins, AED trainers, and simulation materials.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records, certifications, and course documentation.
  • Stay current on AHA updates, guidelines, and instructional best practices.
  • Travel throughout the McAllen area to conduct on-site training at healthcare facilities, businesses, schools, and community organizations.
  • Assist with course scheduling and coordination to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Represent Health Street professionally while delivering outstanding educational experiences.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Current AHA BLS Provider certification.
  • Strong clinical background in nursing, emergency medicine, respiratory therapy, EMS, labor and delivery, neonatal care, or a related healthcare field.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to travel throughout the McAllen area and transport training equipment.
  • For instructor training, must be able to travel to our Health Street location in Houston.

Preferred:
  • Current AHA ACLS and PALS Provider certifications.
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS Instructor certifications.
  • Previous teaching or healthcare training experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Candidates who are not currently instructor certified may be eligible for certification training in Houston, TX.
Work Schedule

Physical Requirements
  • Stand for extended periods while teaching.
  • Demonstrate CPR and resuscitation techniques.
