Job description

Pay rate- BLS $25 per hour or ACLS $35


Advanced Life Support Instructor under the direction of JHH Training Center Coordinator, plans, organizes implements and evaluates Health Care Provider CPR, and or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification training. 

Provide educational instruction and testing on the principles and skills of Basic Life Support or Advanced Life Support certification training as required by the American Heart Association.

Conduct student assessments and evaluates students according to current AHA guidelines and materials; provides or recommends appropriate remediation when necessary.

Applies didactic principles of training to improve participantโ€™s skills while continuously monitoring their skill level and body mechanics

Supervise while class is going on to offer effective, safe and motivating environment for physical activity.

Organize and complete physical set up of equipment in classroom or simulation setting. This includes transportation of equipment for in situ training on clinical units.

Prepare and submit all class related forms in proscribed manner.


High School Diploma, professional training in Emergency Medical responder and or equivalent experience.

BLS or ACLS certification required. 

Two years of experience in training in specified certification required.  Adult education experience preferred. 

Current instructor affiliation with the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC).
