Role Description:
The ACH Processor will be responsible for processing bank and client ACH and wire transactions, reviewing electronic deposits, clearing item processing exceptions, working payment-related disputes, reviewing tools and reports for unusual/unexplained online and mobile banking activity, and responding appropriately. This role offers tremendous growth opportunities to learn from other Payments experts in an inclusive, supportive, technology-driven environment.
In this role you will:
  • Accurately prepare and process all ACH requests within the timeframes established by Lead Bank.
  • Review and process stop payment requests and Written Statements of Unauthorized Debit (WSUD), ensuring appropriate ACH returns are completed.
  • Complete additional payment-related duties including, but not limited to, processing chargebacks, exception items, foreign items, adjustments, and returns.
  • Review cashed check reports and process check exception items, adjustments, and returns as needed.
  • Process Remote Deposit Capture (RDC), Mobile RDC, X9, and ATM deposits and place holds when required according to bank policy.
  • File debit card disputes and ensure they are processed in accordance with Regulation E requirements.
  • Process research requests received from branches and clients in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist with placing cash orders for the bank and clients and enter and review associated system entries.
  • Assist with internal and external audits and prepare daily and monthly operational reports.
    Cross-train across data processing functions and provide backup support as needed to ensure operational continuity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
