Job description


IMKO is currently recruiting a full-time Accounting Manager for a local meat manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for ensuring that all policies and procedures comply with professional standards as well as state and federal regulatory requirements. Additionally, the role involves establishing and maintaining internal controls to support the financial infrastructure and presenting financial reporting and key risk areas to senior management. Accounting Manager Responsibilities are, however, will not be limited to:
  1. Works with confidential data.
  2. Post adjustments to General Ledger.
  3. Create financial statements that include balance sheets, profit loss report and cash flow report.
  4. Prepares financial tax asset detail reports and other detailed analyses.
  5. Prepares monthly deprecation reports, month ending reports for sales, account payable, account receivable, inventory and production.
  6. Analyze weekly sales reports, inventory, purchases and payroll.
  7. Reconciles all banks account statements every month.
  8. Manage and fix assets / depreciation.
  9. Consults with the Division President regarding profit and loss investment accounts.
  10. Prepare yearly budget.
  11. Review records for third party accounting firm.
  12. Prepares 1099 forms at the year-end for contract labor.
  13. Support Shipping and Receiving Specialist and payroll process as needed.
  14. Assist the Division President with multiple special projects.
  15. Process business expense reimbursements.
  16. Compiles information for the company liability insurance and presents/ recommends to Division President.
  17. Process ACH and AP checks for Payments
Accounting Manager Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four - year college or university in Accounting /Finance or equivalent experience
  2. 3 + years' experience in accounting or finance is preferred
  3. High ethical and moral standards
  4. Mathematical skills
  5. Computer usage
  6. Time Management
  7. Office Clerical skills
  8. Valid Driver's License
