Accumen information

What is an Accumen?

Accumen is not a standard job title, but rather the name of a company specializing in healthcare performance improvement. Accumen partners with hospitals and health systems to enhance operational, financial, and clinical outcomes, particularly in areas like laboratory management, supply chain optimization, and data analytics. Employees at Accumen may work in roles such as healthcare consulting, project management, analytics, or business development, all focused on helping healthcare organizations improve efficiency and patient care.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Accumen healthcare data analyst?

To thrive as a healthcare data analyst at Accumen, you need strong analytical skills, experience in healthcare data, and a relevant degree such as in health informatics, statistics, or computer science. Familiarity with data visualization tools (like Tableau or Power BI), EHR systems, and proficiency in SQL or Python are typically required. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication are standout soft skills for this role. These competencies enable analysts to deliver actionable insights that drive clinical and operational improvements for healthcare organizations.

How does an Accumen team member typically collaborate with hospital staff and other healthcare professionals?

As an Accumen team member, collaboration with hospital staff and other healthcare professionals is a core part of the role. You will frequently work alongside laboratory personnel, clinicians, and hospital administrators to implement process improvements, optimize laboratory operations, and support data-driven decision-making. Effective communication and relationship-building skills are essential, as you'll often be facilitating meetings, sharing reports, and providing training or recommendations. This collaborative environment not only enhances workflow efficiency but also helps you learn from a diverse group of healthcare experts.

Job description

Validation & Engineering Group, Inc. (V&EG) a Pinnaql company is a leading services supplier who provides solutions for the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Chemical, Food, and Medical Devices industries in the following areas: Laboratory, Compliance, Computer, Engineering, Project Management, Validation, and other services.

We are seeking a talented, dedicated individual committed to work under the highest ethics standards for the following position:

  • Senior Project Manager, PMO

Summary:

We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager who excels in a structured PMO environment and brings discipline, clarity, and rigor to every initiative. In this role, you’ll be the operational backbone of major programs—driving adherence to PMO standards, enforcing governance frameworks, managing RAID and change control processes, and ensuring projects advance with transparency and control. You’ll lead cross-functional teams through complex, fast-paced delivery cycles, aligning stakeholders, maintaining momentum, and transforming ambiguity into execution-ready plans. If you thrive on bringing order to complexity and elevating project maturity across an organization, this role offers the opportunity to make a measurable and lasting impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery, managing scope, schedule, budget, and daily execution to ensure milestones are met.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination by running project meetings, resolving roadblocks, and keeping teams aligned and moving forward.
  • Own RAID management—identifying and tracking risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies, and leading mitigation, escalation, and resolution.
  • Enforce change control processes, assessing scope impacts, securing approvals, and keeping all change documentation accurate and communicated.
  • Apply consistent project management methodologies, maintain high-quality documentation and KPI reporting, and support continuous improvement of project delivery processes.

The experience we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on project management experience, preferably within a PMO or other structured project environment.
  • Prior experience leading cross-functional teams in matrixed organizations and managing complex, large-scale project timelines.
  • Background applying process improvement methodologies (such as Six Sigma), including governance, resource management, and structured reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience using project management methodologies and working with MS Project or similar tools for planning and execution.
  • Proven history managing risk, overseeing change control, and delivering projects with strong attention to operational requirements and detail.

The skills for success

  • Supply Chain Management, Business Partnership, Collaboration and Partnership building, Relationship Management, Business Accumen, Productivity Management, Process Improvement, Advanced Analytics, Data Analytics, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Planning, Vendor Negotiation, Contract Negotiation, Category Management Expertise, Supply Management, Procurement.

At Validation & Engineering Group, people always come first. We believe that when you're empowered to do your best work, bold ideas thrive and real progress happens. This isn't just a job - it's an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by shaping the future of healthcare and technology alongside a purpose-driven, supportive team.
Excited to build something meaningful together? We look forward to hearing from you.
