General Responsibility:

The Account Receivable Administrator is responsible for a volume of contracts and service billing, payment assurance functions and cash application with a high degree of accuracy and provides support to 20/20 Plumbing & Heating, AR Team, and its customers.

Significant Duties:

  • Process accounts receivable and understand the construction billing and collections process.
  • Full responsibility for the accounting and billing of project(s).
  • Work with Project Managers to properly set up and maintain projects in the operating system.
  • Prepare construction and service invoices and verify completeness.
  • Prepare Lien Waivers
  • Ensure Subcontractor/Suppliers Waivers of Lien are received and correct.
  • Knowledge of the California Mechanic’s Lien Laws
  • Invoice clients in accordance with contract terms
  • Monitor job costing and follow up with superintendents for billing milestones.
  • Monitor over and under billing and follow up with superintendents for billing milestones.
  • Assist in the follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable invoices and ensure positive cash flow for the company.
  • Makes collection calls to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist Controller and AR Manager with special projects as requested.
  • Maintain complete audit files for project accounting records.
  • Partner with operations to close out projects.
  • Analytical skills are of great importance.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, continued/ongoing education and training related to Accounts Receivable
  • 2-3 years of experience working in an accounting environment, preferably in Construction.
  • Ability to handle a high volume, fast paced work environment.
  • Communicate effectively, in oral and written form, with all parties to ensure collaboration.
  • Detail oriented ability to prioritize with strong organization skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Operate with little immediate supervision.
  • Analytical skills are of great importance.

Physical Requirements: The position of Accounts Receivable Manager requires that you can lift objects that weigh up to 15 pounds, squat, kneel, twist, bend, and work above head and below waist.Ability to sit for long periods, stand, walk, climb stairs and use of hands, fingers, wrists, and arms.
