Accountant - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 75k/year - Appleton, WI

  • Our client, a well-established global manufacturing company, is seeking an Accountant to support plant accounting and financial operations. This position may be based in either Appleton, WI or Haltom City, TX, in the Fort Worth area.
  • The Accountant will support financial analysis, general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, budgeting, and operational reporting within a manufacturing environment. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, strong Excel and ERP skills, and manufacturing, plant, or inventory accounting experience. Manufacturing internship or co-op experience will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Support plant accounting operations through financial analysis, general ledger activities, account reconciliations, month-end close, budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Analyze plant expenses and manufacturing and production variances.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month-end close.
  • Assist with budget-to-actual analysis and operational financial reporting.
  • Review purchase orders and provide financial information and analysis to plant management.
  • Support inventory cycle counts, audit activities, and other plant accounting requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Manufacturing, plant, or inventory accounting experience; manufacturing internship or co-op experience will be considered.
  • Accounting experience involving financial analysis and operations rather than primarily transactional accounts payable responsibilities.
  • Experience with an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, Epicor, or NetSuite.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
