Position:

Account Manager

The Account Manager will perform various roles related to driving new and existing business in a given sales territory. This includes maintaining relationships, demonstrating technology, establishing new business relationships, and attending trade shows. This individual will also partner with other departments to ensure the optimal solution is presented to a customer. The Account Manager will also serve as a mentor to all Sales Representatives assigned to the sales territory. This is a remote/home office position, the identified candidate could spend 50% or more of their time traveling to customer sites within the sales territory.

Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Account Manager include, but are not limited to the following.

  • Drive business plan to meet annual revenue objectives.
  • Provides territory sales forecast.
  • Represents the company and brand standards at all industry trade shows scheduled within the sales territory.
  • Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
  • Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
  • Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and follow up with key decision makers
  • Demonstrates the functions and utilities of products and services to customers tailored to their unique needs.
  • Completes vendor certifications on various products to ensure adequate knowledge regarding products and systems.
  • Review weekly activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective customers with regional sales director
  • Partners with other departments to ensure the correct products and solutions offered to the customer within time frames established by the project manager.
  • Maintains detailed report of sales acrtivities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problem.
  • Submits sales quotes and all required documentation in a timely manner to Sales Engineering to ensure the correct products and solutions are available and listed on the customer quote.
  • Mentors all Sales Representatives assigned to the sales territory. Involves them in large sales and with key accounts to support their development.
