About the Role
The Finance Manager supports the Director of Finance in the day-to-day operations of the Finance department and plays an integral role in maintaining accurate financial records and reporting. This position is responsible for supporting the month-end close process, managing general accounting functions, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with Hyatt policies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Director of Finance in the day-to-day operations of the Finance department.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and other general ledger adjustments.
  • Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and ensure reconciling items are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of financial reports and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare and review month-end accruals, journal entries, and supporting schedules to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with Hyatt policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Process Accounts Payable invoices, ensuring accurate coding, timely approvals, and compliance with Hyatt policies and procedures.
  • Process Accounts Receivable invoices and billing transactions, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable aging reports, research discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding balances as needed.
  • Support the Income Audit process by reviewing daily revenue reporting and investigating variances.
  • Analyze financial results, investigate account variances, and prepare supporting schedules.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation in accordance with Hyatt policies, internal controls, and GAAP.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing requested schedules and documentation.
  • Partner with operational departments to improve financial processes and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.

The salary range for this position is $71,000 - $84,000 annually . This is an hourly manager level role and will be paid an hourly rate based on a 45 hour work week. This is the range for this position that Andaz San Diego reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
