About The Role

HUB International continues to grow and we are looking for a strong Commercial Account Associate to effectively support the busy account workflow for our Mid-Market Practice. This is an ideal role for an individual who is responsive, can handle a high volume of work, and has strong customer service. This is an ideal role for someone who is interested in learning and supporting a growing market.

What You'll Do

  • Provide our internal and external clients with prompt, courteous and professional service including handling coverage inquiries and processing client requests.
  • Timely preparation of documents such as: letters, certificates, confirmation of insurance, client renewal packages, policies, submissions, binders and summaries.
  • Continuously delivering quality in client service for an assigned book of business
  • Accurately process endorsements, invoicing of transactions and generating reports using various program systems.
  • Developing and nurturing client relationships by identifying client-specific needs; creating innovative and cost-effective solutions
  • Monitoring client accounts receivable statements, and collecting outstanding premium owing; building relationships with sub-brokers across Canada

Qualifications and expertise that pave the way for Success

  • RIBO (Ontario Broker's license)
  • Typically, 2-3 years of Insurance Industry and product line experience - broking or underwriting
  • Experience with programmatic commercial lines business
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Professional communication, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service focus with the ability to deliver positive customer experiences
  • Self-starter and strong team player able to work within Production and Service teams
  • Effective organizational skills and time management
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word and Excel).

The compensation for this position is a variable compensation structure, i.e., base salary plus commission. As such, the total compensation earned will vary depending on the successful candidate's book of business at a particular time. The expected base salary for this position is $51,000-$55,000, plus commissions will be paid based on successful sales performance. The total compensation will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses for some positions.
