Job description

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring a Payroll Accountant to join our Accounting Team as we continue to grow — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve. 

Position Details 

  • Status: Full-Time
  • Work Shift: Days
  • Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm

What Your Day Looks Like: In this role, you will be preparing payroll checks, maintaining payroll information, and performing general ledger and accounting functions for departments across the organization.

As a Payroll Accountant you will be:  

  • Maintaining employee payroll records
  • Coordinating with department managers to manage time card approvals and extra compensations; reviewing and editing timekeeping entries
  • Matching W-4 and deduction authorizations and preparing year-end W-2s
  • Reconciling withholdings with vendor billing statements
  • Working with Human Resources to ensure the accuracy of all payroll data

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
  • Skills: Payroll and accounting skills
  • Licensure/Certification: SAFE Training within one year; renew annually
  • Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk performing tasks on a computer
