Position Summary: We are looking for a skilled and detail-driven Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting operations and ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance. This role is responsible for managing daily accounting functions, leading the month-end close process, supervising accounting staff, and supporting audits and tax filings. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities and a proactive, process-improvement mindset.
  • Schedule: Fully onsite in our Orange office, Monday through Friday.
  • This position will oversee three direct reports: the AP Manager, AR Manager, and Accounting Operations Supervisor.
  • The role reports directly to the Assistant Controller.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Manage and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Lead the preparation of schedules and documentation for external audits and tax filings.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all accounting entries and reconciliations.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and performance management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate reporting and process integration.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
  • Assist with ERP implementations, upgrades, or enhancements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
  • CPA designation (strongly preferred).
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity.

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in a multi-entity or multi-currency environment.
  • Background in construction or manufacturing preferred
  • Experience with process automation or ERP implementation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance or internal audit best practices (if applicable).
