Description:

BLS is seeking an Administrative Operations Associate, with a high degree of interest in becoming part of one of the largest public accounting firms in Delaware. Individuals with a fresh, energetic, technically-savvy approach to processes and administrative support for clients, Directors and staff are encouraged to apply to a company that looks for talent and rewards effort at every staff level.

Requirements:
  • Formatting, typing, proofing and assembling client financial statements, including linking documents and capably utilizing industry software
  • Typing, proofing and assembling planning, engagement, management representation, legal and confirmation letters to clients and financial institutions as well as general correspondence
  • Assembling and distributing tax returns, using electronic and manual methods and researching and applying statutory guidelines and government compliance regulations
  • Using industry software to operate client database, project tracking and time entry
  • Operating within a paperless environment to create client deliverables, store client information and process government forms
  • Assisting with client bookkeeping-related duties, as needed, including check writing, bank reconciliations, journal entries and use of accounting software applications

Preferred qualifications/experience/skills include:

  • Associates’ degree in office administration, administrative services or other similar course of study
  • Sound judgment, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work with little direct supervision, excellent time management skills and ability to change direction as needed
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn and utilize industry-related software, including ProSystems Practice Management, Document, Tax and Engagement
  • Ability to navigate the Internet, including web platforms and research resourcefulness
  • Bookkeeping and/or paraprofessional experience and skills are a plus
  • Recent related experience, preferably in a public accounting environment is a plus
