Accountant / Accounting Manager (Part-Time)

Huisong Inc. is a growing international manufacturer and supplier of botanical extracts, nutritional ingredients, and natural health products.

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership of their work, improving processes, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently while supporting a collaborative and growing business.

Position Summary:
The Accountant / Accounting Manager will manage the company’s day-to-day accounting functions and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of its financial records.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision. Depending on experience, the position may be hired at the Accountant or Accounting Manager level.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
  • Perform monthly bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Assist with or lead the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Assist with sales tax filings, 1099 reporting, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with operations, sales, and leadership to support business needs.
  • Assist with audits, reporting requests, and special projects as needed.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of financial, business, and employee information.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant accounting experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of five years of recent, progressive accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Experience with general ledger accounting and month-end close.
  • Strong Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience.
  • Excellent reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP or VLOOKUP, and reporting functions.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or inventory accounting.
  • Experience working with international companies.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English is a plus but is not required.
