Your Role
As an Accounting Intern, you will support the Accounting team with routine and learning-focused tasks that help maintain accurate financial records and support month-end close activities. You will work closely with Staff and Senior Accountants, gaining exposure to core accounting processes while developing practical skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Primary Functions of the Accounting Intern Include:
  • Assist with basic accounting tasks such as data entry, posting support schedules, and organizing supporting documentation for journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Help prepare and maintain account reconciliations by gathering support and flagging discrepancies for review.
  • Support accounts payable activities, including reviewing vendor invoices for completeness, proper coding, and required approvals, and organizing AP records.
  • Assist with maintaining organized financial support files to ensure audit readiness and compliance with internal policies.
  • Provide administrative and ad-hoc accounting support to team members across accounting, FP&A, HR, and other departments as needed.
  • Perform other related duties and learning assignments as assigned.

How You Qualify

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of accounting concepts and financial statements
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel and learning new systems
  • Interest in healthcare, accounting operations, and process improvement is a plus

The base pay range for this role is $17.00 -$20.00 per hour. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, and organizational needs.
