Location: Huntington Beach, California

Job Type: Full-time

A growing and expanding firm in Huntington Beach, California is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized, and supporting day-to-day financial operations.

The Accounting Clerk will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, account reconciliations, and general accounting functions. The ideal candidate is accurate, organized, dependable, and comfortable handling a high volume of financial information while maintaining a professional approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter and process vendor and customer invoices accurately within the accounting system, including NetSuite when applicable.
  • Support accounts payable by maintaining vendor records, reviewing invoices, verifying details, and preparing items for payment.
  • Assist with accounts receivable by posting customer payments, updating account records, and tracking outstanding balances.
  • Review invoices and supporting documentation to verify coding, amounts, and other key details.
  • Research account discrepancies and assist with resolving billing and payment issues with vendors, customers, and internal departments.
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic financial records.
  • Assist with account reconciliations and month-end close activities.
  • Support accounting reports and other financial projects as needed.
  • Provide general accounting and administrative support to the finance team.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling financial information.

Qualifications:

  • Previous accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or accounts receivable experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
