Accounting Assistant

Part Time – 56 hours/pay

Full Benefits


Scheurer Health, a critical access hospital, is seeking a part-time Accounting Assistant. The candidate will assist in the daily activities and responsibilities of the Finance office.


Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in preparation of month end financial statements
  • Assist in entry of monthly journal entries
  • Assist in general ledger maintenance
  • Assist with annual preparation of audit work papers for both annual audits and cost reports
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Assist in payroll preparation and distribution


Minimum Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in accounting or related field
  • 1 year of experience using spreadsheet and word processing programs
