Job description

JOB SUMMARY

Lead and develop the team to ensure compliance with IFRS16 for all property, vehicle, and equipment leases; Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Review and approve asset, liability, and expense account journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

Reviews and approves modifications and recalculations of property leases

Assist with annual budget requirements.

Primary contact for internal and external audit requests

Maintains accounting controls by following IFRS, Sarbanes-Oxley, and internal accounting policies; maintains financial security by following internal controls.

Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.

Ensures compliance with requirements, policies and regulations by enforcing adherence to corporate systems, policies and governmental regulations.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops as needed; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; or participating in professional societies.

Provides assistance and mentoring to Accounting Analysts and Sr Analysts within the department.

Assist with special projects as needed.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related KRAs as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required. CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

Two or more years of supervisory experience preferred.

Five or more years of accounting experience preferred.

Experience with lease or real estate accounting is preferred

Must be computer literate in MS Access and Word; and advanced skills in Excel

Must have strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management.

Experience working with accounting applications preferred; PDI and Tango Leasing
