Position Overview
The Manufacturing Accountant - Cost Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting both business groups and corporate functions. As a key member of the accounting team, you will deliver vital accounting and financial insights that inform critical business unit decisions. The role requires the capacity to identify and resolve high-level issues while also managing detailed transactional processes.
Primary Objectives
  • Analyze financial results to provide actionable insights
  • Support business unit leadership on annual operating plan, forecasts and revenue
  • Perform costing and pricing analysis on touch labor and projects
  • Interface with business unit to align SOP's and best practices
  • Produce standard and ad hoc reports as required by management
  • Analyze work-in-process inventory for effective tracking and management
  • Make and implement recommendations to enhance accounting processes and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with SOX and other internal control policies
  • Perform physical inventory counts to verify stock and reconcile discrepancies
  • Train manufacturing personnel in the use of inventory systems for improved efficiency
  • Analyze and monitor production cost variances to support cost control initiatives
