Our client is searching for an Accountant to join their team. This role will be responsible for supporting a variety of day-to-day accounting functions and maintaining the accuracy of financial records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and looking to continue growing their accounting career in a dynamic environment.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
- Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate outstanding items
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Maintain and track prepaid expenses and monthly amortization schedules
- Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals
- Prepare and file sales tax returns and related reconciliations
- Support process improvements and provide assistance with ad hoc accounting projects as required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience within a public practice firm
- Experience preparing account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end working papers
- Pursuing a CPA designation is preferred, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
