Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant – Business Integrations for Kodiak Interiors Group is responsible for assisting in the acquisition due diligence process, transaction accounting and the integration of acquired businesses into the broader Kodiak platform. This position will report to the Accounting & Business Integrations Manager. This is a great opportunity for an experienced candidate to work for a growing company!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, collaborate, and execute the integration process of newly acquired businesses including on-boarding and preparation of opening balance sheet work.
  • Analyze, prepare, and record complex journal entries including allocation entries, accruals, payroll, prepaid amortizations, and intercompany entries for the newly acquired business.
  • Ensure the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close is completed accurately and within the monthly close cycle, including review of Balance Sheet reconciliations and P&L Statements.
  • Serve as the accounting resource for the execution of ERP and payroll system implementation and conversions.
  • Interpret accounting data and information, as well as research solutions to provide accurate and timely information.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to increase financial reporting.
  • Complete ad hoc projects, tasks, and reports when required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting ore related field required with 4-7 years of accounting experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of accounting theory/GAAP and ability to perform research as necessary
  • Must be detail oriented, and technically minded
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize
  • Strong research and reconciliation skills required
  • Experience with learning new financial accounting systems or working in multiple types of financial accounting systems
  • Knowledge and exposure to multi-company organizations a plus
  • Self-motivated team player with strong problem solving abilities and process driven mindset
  • Professional level communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization and target companies

Physical Requirements:

  • Sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Operate cameras, computers, lighting, and production equipment.
  • Ability to travel by car or plane up to 25%

Work Environment:

This position is primarily on-site at our headquarters located at: 188 Inverness Dr. W Ste. 675 Englewood, CO 80112. Regular in-person attendance is required Monday through Thursday. Friday is an optional remote workday.
