Job description

Cassia, a nonprofit, senior living organization, is hiring an Accounts Payable Lead to join our growing team! Based at our Edina, MN corporate office, you'll join a supportive team dedicated to serving our senior living communities.

The Accounts Payable Lead supports daily AP operations, resolves complex invoice and payment issues, and serves as a resource for the AP team. This role works closely with the Accounts Payable Manager to ensure accurate and timely processing and improve team workflows.

Position Type: Full-Time, benefits eligible position. This is an on-site position in Edina, Minnesota.
Shift Available: 

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Wage Range: $63,000 - $65,000 Annually depending on experience

Accounts Payable Lead Responsibilities:
  • Enter invoices accurately and timely into the Sage accounting system.
  • Analyze invoices and expense reports to assign expenses to the appropriate general ledger accounts and cost centers.
  • Assist with planning and preparing weekly payments for assigned locations.
  • Create and maintain vendor records in Sage.
  • Work with vendors, accounting managers, facility administrators, and internal teams to resolve invoice and payment issues.
  • Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve complex billing discrepancies.
  • Assist with annual 1099 reporting and audits.
  • Ensure AP policies and procedures are followed.
  • Monitor shared invoices and help distribute daily workloads across the team.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for escalated processing questions and provide support with complex invoices.
  • Partner with the Accounts Payable Manager to improve workflows and support team goals.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
Accounts Payable Lead Qualifications:
  • Must have 3+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
  • Accounting Certificate or Associate's Degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Previous ERP or accounting software experience required; Sage Intacct preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
