Responsibilities

A Day in the Life of a National Accounts Payable Specialist:

As a Liberty Military Housing National Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for the preparation of cash management operations, accounts payable for Liberty Military Housing. You will utilize various accounting systems and must display attention to detail and work effectively with the accounts payable team.

Your Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Assist in processing vendor payments (ACH/checks/wires), tracking daily bank activity, process check disbursements, etc.
  • Assist in performing monthly closing of Accounts Payable system and posting of month-end information to GL.
  • Ensure accuracy within account coding transactions, project coding, department allocation, and posting dates.
  • Utilize systems and processes related to Yardi, Certify, Purchase Cards, Marketplace, Vendor Shield, and Vendor Cafe.
  • Assure adherence to company purchasing policies and procedures, including proper approvals and documentation.
  • Assist in preparation of process documentation for a variety of accounts payable procedures.
  • Gather data on various items, including but not limited to payables, receivables, utility usage, cost, and other ad hoc assignments.
Qualifications

What You Need for Success:

  • Technological capabilities and experience with Microsoft Office are required. Comprehension of intermediate Microsoft Excel functions is preferred.
  • Yardi experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Applicant must be comfortable communicating with multiple team members, internal clients, and external clients.
  • Applicant must be detail-oriented and able to review and ensure accuracy of own work and work of others.
  • Applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable. Openness to change and process improvement are required.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Accounting/office experience is required. Experience in a Property Management environment preferred.
  • Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.
  • The position requires mobility within the office; use of a computer and other office machinery such as a scanner and copy machine.
  • Must be able to deal with a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment, including handling multiple tasks on a daily basis.
  • May require use of personal or company vehicle, or electrical cart.

Payrate $20-$25 an hour
