Job Description

Your Role

The Client Operations Manager (COM) provides proactive operational leadership across the institutional client lifecycle, including onboarding, transitions, reporting, and ongoing service. Partnering closely with Sales, Relationship Management, and internal teams, the COM delivers scalable, client-focused solutions while driving process improvement and risk mitigation. Serving as the primary operational contact for institutional clients, the COM liaises between clients, distribution, and operations to ensure a high-quality client experience. The role resolves day-to-day client inquiries and collaborates with internal subject matter experts on more complex requests.

You Will Be Responsible For :

  • Act as the central operational point of contact for institutional clients

  • Partner with Sales and Relationship Managers to support client servicing and onboarding

  • Lead and monitor client onboarding and transitions, ensuring timely execution

  • Liaise across Trading, Legal, Compliance, Investments, Trust, and Operations

  • Resolve daily client inquiries and complex operational issues; escalate risks as needed

  • Ensure delivery against client SLAs and KPIs; track, log, and escalate issues

  • Identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and operational risk reductions

  • Provide regular updates to the Head of Client Operations

  • Stay current on market and regulatory developments affecting client serving

  • Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and scalability initiatives

  • Partner with technology and operations teams to implement automation and data solutions

  • Champion a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence

The Experience You Bring:

  • 8+ years of investment operations experience

  • 5+ years of institutional client service experience

  • 5+ years of onboarding and account transition experience

  • Strong understanding of asset management operations, regulatory requirements, and distribution channels

  • Proven ability to lead change, influence without authority, and manage crossfunctional priorities

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholdermanagement skills

  • Strong Excel skills; techsavvy mindset preferred

  • Invesco product knowledge a plus

  • Strong verbal and written communication with a transparent, collaborative style

  • Techsavvy with strong Microsoft Office skills; advanced Excel preferred

  • Analytical, structured decisionmaker with sound independent judgment

  • High attention to detail with a proactive, solutionsoriented mindset

  • Proven ability to manage priorities, deadlines, and complex workloads

  • Clientcentric approach with credibility in financial services

  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to build trust and influence without authority

  • Proactive, "cando" attitude with initiative and adaptability to change

  • Comfortable making decisions, resolving issues, and executing realistic plans

The salary range for this position in Downers Grove is $145,000 - $155,000/year. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience and location
