Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking Pharmacy Operations Manager to join our leadership team at our dynamic community hospital. In this critical role, you will be the driving force behind our operational excellence, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency across our inpatient pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compounding Oversight: Maintain rigorous regulatory and quality control standards for our sterile and non-sterile compounding areas, ensuring full alignment with USP guidelines and institutional safety protocols.
  • Medication Safety Leadership: Serve as a chair of the Medication Safety Committee, actively identifying risk reduction strategies, analyzing error data, and leading continuous quality improvement initiatives in the multidisciplinary team.
  • Technician Supervision & Development: Lead, mentor, and empower our dedicated pharmacy technician team. Foster an engaging, collaborative culture focused on professional growth, high performance, and operational agility.
  • Resource Management & Operational Flow: Oversee day-to-day medication distribution, inventory management, and workflow efficiencies to ensure seamless support for our nursing and medical staffs.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency is a strong plus.
  • Licensure: Current pharmacist licensure (or eligibility for licensure) in the state.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hospital pharmacy experience, with progressive leadership or supervisory responsibilities. Demonstrated expertise in sterile compounding regulations and medication safety practices.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of leading teams through operational change.
